Gravity is so predictable
We understand just what it does
It makes the meteors fall from space
And keeps the oceans in their place.
But what great power stops the moon
From hitting earth today at noon?
And what is it that keeps the sun
From making all the planets one?
They simply play the spinning game
"Centrifugal" is this force’s name.
It keeps the planets in their place
And all the galaxies in space.
Unless they meet a big black hole
Then they can’t resist its pull
They augur in with just a whimper
And then they are a whole lot denser.
